‘Star Crossed’

“The story that unfolded was one driven by images of my best friend and muse. She is someone who has a similar sense of existential dread as I do, and a natural curiosity for the world around us. A big green alien crash lands on earth, and she has a hard time assimilating—a feeling and idea I have been endlessly exploring. As I've grown into an adult and learned about how all the systems of society are set up, I understand, but none of it makes any sense. All we truly know is that life is a journey of experiencing and evolving. We're born, we live, and then we transform. It's about accepting the uncertainty that comes with existence and prioritizing exploring the endless possibilities of expressing life. Everything from art, math, and music to science, dance, and spirituality are expressions of our attempt to understand and expand our own existence. But before we can find any answers, it's all over.

“Do you ever get that feeling like everyone's just pretending everything is fine, even though the world seems completely insane and dysfunctional? It's like we're all in on some unspoken agreement to play along with rules that don't really make sense, made up by people who are just as ordinary as the rest of us. Isn't there a part of you that's screaming to question it all? Through ‘Star Crossed’, I aim to spark introspection and provoke thought, inviting others to join me in questioning the status quo and embracing the uncertainty of our journey together. Perhaps it's through our shared questioning that we can find comfort and understanding.”
